This being the biggest swimming League in the country, with Southport in the
North West Premier League. With two rounds gone, the first being on Saturday 13th October at Blackpool when the team (u/11, u/13, u/15 and Open) took on Warrington Warriors (supported by some City of Liverpool swimmers), Wigan Best, IOM, Leyland, Cockermouth,Horwich and Crewe. The Southport team swam fantastically well coming in second place behind Warriors gaining a large points tally.

In the second Round on Saturday 10th November the team where involved in a tougher gala involving Stockport (one of the top teams in the country), City of Salford, Preston, Blackpool, Pioneer 79, Cockermouth and Wrexham. Some fantastic swims by the Southport swimmers with a large number of PB’s. putting them in a great contest with some of the biggest clubs. Final result

This places Southport in forth position going into North West Final. Having only ever acheiving sixth position in the final in the past. The Final is to be held on Sunday 9th December at Blackpool, against the top eight teams in the premier league.
